I can’t speak to the historical accuracy of most of the details, the garb, societal rules. At ALL. So I’ll not be judging the story based on that.
It’s a great story. Easily twice as good as I expected, to the detriment of my sleep. It’s BLUEBEARD. I rarely see that one retold.
My favorite parts are all spoilery, though.
Good book. Tense book.
